Kirk Lindstrom has an engineering degree from the University of California, Berkeley. Following 20 years of research and development as a scientist and engineer at Hewlett Packard, Kirk turned his attention to investments where he edits "Kirk's Investment Newsletter," a newsletter portfolio he started in September 1998.

Kirk has written about and helped individuals learn to manage their investments since the early 1990's. For over a decade, Kirk edited "Investing and Personal Finance" at Suite101, one of the first investment web sites on the Internet. Kirk took-off on his own in late 2006 and early 2007 to write "Kirk's Market Thoughts", co-found "The Retirement Advisor" newsletter and web site plus the new web site "ForBestAdvice.Com." Kirk continues his decade plus tradition of helping others learn to invest wisely with his free Facebook group, "Investing for the Long Term." Kirk also moderates a Facebook forum for ECRI to answer questions, and occasionally condenses ECRI's subscriber articles for public posting.
