  • February 3, 2011 Newmont Mining (NEM +0.9%), the world's second largest gold company, agrees to acquire Canada's Fronteer Gold (FRG +39.9%) for C$2.3B. Fronteer shareholders would receive C$14 in cash and one share in a new company to be called Pilot Gold for each Fronteer share. (PR)
